As a part of the Shale Oak team, I worked on-site for two months tending to customer needs and working behind the scenes on the Wix website and storefront through Orderport. However, my primary job became creating digital and physical assets to be used in a variety of applications, which I continued to create remotely after the two-month on-site period.
My first major design project was creating wine tech sheets to be printed and posted on the websites. These sheets are used for distributors to know what wine they will be selling. I provided a few examples, but that only scratches the surface of all the tech sheets I created.
I created the template in InDesign and used the existing wine labels and the Shale Oak logo as a starting point. From there, I created an overhauled visual style for the winery, using vibrant colors and modern type styles that the winery already had and using them throughout the marketing moving forward.
Many of the posts here doubled as physical flyers within the winery, were sent out in e-blast messages, or ended up in magazines, both local and national.
The images below show the advertisement I created for the digital version of Sunset Magazine, showing off an award-winning wine.
"Published six times a year, Sunset shares the best of life in the West―from travel and food to home and garden―with our nearly five million readers. We are passionate about showcasing the region’s unique lifestyle and noteworthy destinations, inspiring people to achieve the dream of living in the West." - Sunset Magazine

Each piece of media created for the winery went through a development process, shown best by the flyer above. As each of them was designed, I worked with the general manager to make sure each of the flyers and advertisements fit their needs.
