"OMW"
I was the first artist to do work for the Phoenix-based music artist Cosmic Sorbet, who makes bedroom pop/indie music with a funky vibe. The artist gave me a lot of creative freedom for these projects, and I was critical in defining the visual style of "Cosmic Sorbet."
This was my first project for this artist, and he requested it not to have the song's name on the single cover. I had two approaches to the style of the project, but combining both ideas led to the final outcome. My sketch was finalized in my sketchbook and replicated in Adobe Illustrator.
"Last Transmission"
As the third single for the artist, I wanted to solidify the visual style of Cosmic Sorbet with this cover. The only requirement was the inclusion of a rover, which went through a few design considerations, as seen below. A textless version was provided, but the final design used on music platforms included the song title. Subtle symmetry was used between the radar lines and the arc of the planet.
"Mirror Ball"
By the time this cover was created, Cosmic Sorbet had four songs released, all with pretty consistent visual styles. In order to continue the themes of the past covers while creating something new, a more pastel look was created. This cover went through one of the more striking design changes, the old style being more prevalent in the first draft, shown below.
"Love on TV"
This was my first major project ever using Procreate, and that created a new visual style that looked more like the "Mirror Ball" cover, but with a more hand-drawn, "coloring outside the lines" look. I had complete creative control, which led to this final product.
"Daisy"
The most recent of the single covers, "Daisy" has the most unique visual style. The only requirement for this one was to have a daisy, so after listening to the lyrics of this song, this is what I came up with. This was also done entirely in Procreate, rather than Illustrator.
